Vast erg goed als je ervan houdt. Maar voor mij te veel koper, en veels te blij. Muziek mag pijn doen, mag frustreren, mag verdrietig zijn of je juist heel kwaad maken. Maar met blij moet je bij mij niet aankomen. Zegt me niet zo heel veel... (de lucht is blauw, ik hou van jou, ik ben blij want ik ben oh zo vrij!)

Maar ik kan me voorstellen dat iedereen met bretels en hawaii shirts of jaren 80-rokjes genoten heeft.

Went to see A Silver Mount Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra la la Band in Tivoli last friday. Really enjoyed the music and the performance, was quite annoyed by ppl in the back who kept on talking during the concert. At a 'normal' concert I would just move a bit to the front to hear less talking, but it was a seated concert and it was sold out, so we had to stick to our seats :( A Silver Mount Zion was good though. We vs. Death was the opening act. I was really enthousiastic about them when I heard them perform at the Zinin festival in utrecht, the performance lacked a lot of feeling this time (and so did the music they played, it sounded like post-rock but it didn'd have any emotion in it...)
Bought some Silver Mount Zion albums, still have to listen to them cause my cd-player stopped working after one of my cats threw it on the floor....

am going to spend a lot of time in the car today. First, we'll have to drive to almere to pick up the costumes for carnaval. (I usually dislike carnaval b.t.w. but since they picked the theme 'cats', I just had to arrange the costumes and looks...). Then, we'll go to Breda to pick up a large bench (new), to use for Ayla and her kittens in the future. Found it on marktplaats.nl, and for a low price concerning the fact that it's new. And I don't like using a used bench. But first, I'll have to do some cleaning around here.

Bought tickets for a silver mount zion and sophia in tivoli, looking forward to those concerts.

Been 2 weeks now since I've started working at the petstore and luckily, the job is still fun. It feels kinda weird to actually like going to work in the morning, just doesn't feel right ;) I'm still in my trial period so I hope they do want me to stay when the first month is over. They said I do pick up things very easily, and the selling is absolutely no problem (hey, 6 years of telemarketing does pay off when you have to convince ppl the expensive food is better for their pets!). And I do know quite a lot about cats and dogs, so I can give some advice. However, I dunno anything about goldfish, birds, rats or hamsters and things like that ;) So I'm insecure about that part, I really need to do some reading so I can give better advice to people. We will have to see...
Found out there is a lot of difference between sitting at a desk and working in a store, I think every muscle ached after the first week of work!

Today is my day off, am spending it by working on several websites, doing some severe construction work on mine, doing a design job for Stefan's website which he really needs since he started as freelance php-programmer (anyone need something done btw? ;) ) and working on a site for a camping, promised to finish it some time ago but never got round to it.

    <lj:music>Christmas Time - The Darkness</lj:music>

Ok, so I've been to the petstore to talk about my salary and which days I will work there. The salary turned out to be ok, and I can start working there 3 days a week, asap. Also been thinking about the other job, working at home, which I'd still like to do if the petshop doesn't work out (well, who knows, I never worked in a shop before so maybe it's just not something I'd like to do). I decided to keep both jobs till I'm sure the petshop-thing doesn't work out. I'll work in the petshop 3 days a week, and work at home 1 day a week. So I still work the same hours as I do now, only with 2 different jobs then. I can switch to just working at home 3 or 4 days a week if I don't like the shop.
(yes, I do love security, love knowing there's always something else to do when one thing doesn't work out the way I planned)

And now I have te tell my current job I want to leave asap ;) hmz...

So, I got 2 new jobs. Got a call today, if we agree on salary and hours, I can start working in a pet shop.

As the first job, not what I studied for, but I do like pets and already know a lot about pet products. What I like about this job is talking to ppl face to face and being able to give some advice on some things I really do know a lot about. Downside: not being able to work at home, and I haven't worked in a store since I was 15 or so. But it is more along the line of what I want to do in the future (which isn't really clear yet, but involves either a 'kattencadeauwinkeltje' or a pension for cats, if I'm able to accomplish that financially)

So it seems like I have to make a decision, but not yet, I'll await the salary-talk with the petshop owner first.

I got a new job (same thing I do now, business to business telemarketing). Not my 'ultimate goal' in life, but I can work @ home in this new job, which I really like. I don't think I'll really miss co-workers since I do a lot of volunteer work and meet people there anyway. And it saves some time not having to travel to work every day. So I guess it's ok. In my current job, it's not the actual job I really disliked, it's the company itself. It is a compete and utter chaos there, and the last couple of months, they've been treating their employees like children. And as soon as I need permission to go to the toilet or get some water, I've seen enough. Will start in Januari, can't wait. (am I glad I didn't sign my new contract yet!)

Let's be honest, it
isn't Christmas you are celebrating, is it? In
fact, you know full well that there were no
shepherds in the fields in December, and that
the date of Christmas was put at midwinter
specifically to coincide with the older
celebrations of Yule and the birth of Mithras.
An unashamed Pagan, you take great glee in the
number of carols referring to holly, evergreens
and Winter's end, and will sing them with
gusto.
